"According to the Harrison County Prosecuting Attorney's Office the lawyers for Joseph Buffey have officially filed a motion requesting that his guilty pleas be withdrawn. Buffey originally pleaded guilty to one count of first-degree robbery and two counts of first-degree sexual assault in the 2002 robbery and rape of an 83-year-old Clarksburg woman.   In a separate motion, lawyers also requested that Buffey be released on a personal recognizance bond with electronically monitored home confinement.  This all comes after the West Virginia State Supreme Court ruled that Buffey's due-process rights were violated when they failed to release DNA test results, which exonerated him in the case."
